Our preacher was one who told the truth as God needed it done
He always tried to stay with the Bible, even when having fun
He seldom failed to teach, but he always sought to give a prod
He always kept a little wit but remained serious when the time called for God
He was passionate about the Lord with all his heart, it showed in his preaching
He didn’t fail to give God glory through all of his teaching
He gave warning after warning to all about sin
He never wanted to see someone quit or fall because they gave in
He had a heart for the church and for those people placed in his charge
He never thought himself more than others or he made himself feel large
He was just a normal guy, a sinner saved by grace
He always knew where he came from, and knew God put him in this place
He would tell you how he came to be saved September 2, 1975
How God brought him to his knees and made him come alive
He would tell you how poor he was when he was young and how he didn’t have much of anything
He would make jokes and laugh, and he would also tell you how he couldn’t sing
He and his loving wife came to start a church here in this place
He worked to get it started, and it grew through God’s amazing grace
It moved a time or two till it arrived to where it is at this location now
For 26 years he strived to make it grow, and look at what it has become, WOW!
He gave everything he had to this work, even sometimes doing without
He would tell you he was blessed because God had him in his hand, no doubt
He was a beacon to this community, and many families here and there
He always gave what God had given him with tender loving care
He went home to be with the Lord, he will be sorely missed with love
We know he has a new body, and that he is communing with the Lord above
He worked to have a man to take on the work he had started
He knew it had to be a man who would not do things half hearted
Throughout his years we have seen the work, the blood, the sweat and tears
We have prayed with him, and laughed with him even during the a time of fears
We remember that with all his heart and love, that he preached the word with conviction
Attempting to always see souls saved from hell and hoped they would be lead to redemption
As we continue doing the work that he started, and we see this church and how it develops
We know it started with a call, and an answer by a man named Olton Phillips.

My Pastor's wife

Our Pastor’s Wife

Her husband answered the call and she stood by his side as God sent him out
She never wavered in her support, and she loved both God and her husband with no doubt
Never failing to be by his side, she endured through it all helping others as she went
God knows all about her sacrifices, and struggles always listening when she needed to vent
She was the one person in our Church who knows about the Pastor’s life.
She has lived and grown with Him, and that’s our Pastor’s wife
The church has seen him in his strength, and listened while he was bearing God’s sword
Always standing under God’s hands while he faced diligently the devil’s attacking horde.
Deep inside within her heart she knows that just one single hour before
She helped him pray for glory coming down behind a closed door
She heard him many times groaning in his soul when raging with strife
She knelt beside him hand in hand for she’s known as our Pastor’s Wife.
You can tell your tales of the Preachers bravery as he served here in this world
Also how he changed history and fought against the burning words they hurled
And I can tell how day and night, there was always a woman who devoted her life
Who wept with him, prayed with him, and smiled with him, that woman was our Pastor’s Wife

Love is

Love is all we hope for,
When we're feeling lonely.
Love is what we need in everyday life.
Two people working for one another,
That's what love is.
Two people fulfilling all life's dreams together,
That's what love is.
Two people sharing all life has to offer,
That's what love is.
Love is what you make it.
Work at it, and in it,
That's what love is.

The Greatest Thing

The touch of her hand, the feel of her skin
The taste of her kiss, that touches me within
The smell of her hair, as it flows through the air
The feel of her body next to mine,
Lying next to me without a care.
The look in her eyes as we snuggle together
Lying in the grass thinking about forever
Not knowing what's to come in life, as we know it
Always staying by each other side only to show it
Giving a hundred percent of everything I have inside
Holding her close to me, and always beaming with pride.
The one greatest thing life could ever give to me
Was the love of a great woman such as her,
And an eternity of love by her side.

The Teardrop

It gives off a signal everyone knows
It shows the way to the heart that glows.
It's there in happiness and in sadness as well
It puts out a beam of frowns and smiles that tell.
They tell a story of a love that's gone bad
They tell a story of someone whose life was made glad.
They always leave your cheeks turning red
They stain your pillowcases that are in your bed.
When it falls to the ground it makes no noise to be heard
Sometimes these teardrops come on without even a small word.
You try and fight them back because you don't want to cry
You want to be strong and show people that your gonna try
Crying these teardrops is a function of life
It helps to release the frustration, and sadness
It also helps release the happiness and gladness.

Soldier of God

Following God with all my soul
Doing that I know is right to show me as a whole
Making the right steps, trying not to falter
Seeing the decision I make before God's altar
Swearing my faith and trust in Him, and never letting go
Giving back to him all the love I have to show
Fighting for all that is right, and true from my life here
Putting down all the enemies, and anything evil in this atmosphere
Standing strong and true even in adversity

Never falling down to any kind of anxiety
Taking every step closer to His perfection
Never giving up on that which was a choice made by my selection
God is my savior always and forever strong, and free
He will always be there, and He will always love me.

Simple Man

Being a simple man is all I have to give anyone
Making my dream come true to show everyone
I have a lot of simple habits that make me who I am
They are not complex, they are not hard to understand
I follow very simple rules and have no expectations
I ask for the return of these things, and simple justification
I want the things in life to remain simple and true
I'll give what I got to give, but only to you
Being a simple man is all I got to give
Knowing nothing of life but to live
Showing my heart is all I will ever have in this world
Playing the game, and hoping that I receive it in return

The Ultimate Woman

I know a woman who tops them all;

She's there for me standing tall.
She loves me despite all my mistakes;

She gives me all the love that she makes.

For life I'll always hope and pray,

That I can make it up to her someday.
She is the ultimate woman I see,

No matter what; she's the woman for me.

I'll do all I can to make her proud,

I'll stand up and say she loves me out loud.
I know she'll do anything she can for me;

I'll always do my best to make her see.

The Love I have for her deep inside,

Someday I'll make this ultimate woman my bride.

Trust

Trust is something that people value.
Trust is what you give someone true.
Trust is what you hold close and dear.
Trust is what you give to someone near.
Trust is always what you have for someone close.
Trust is that which you hold onto the most.
Trust can be abused.

Trust can be used.
Trust should never be taken for granted,

of by someone who takes it.
Because once you've lost it, it's hard to ever earn again.

Sensual Woman

I know a woman who sends me for a ride.
Every time I'm with her, She fills me with pride.
I worship her body in every possible way.
I'll always show her my love every day.
I'll make her body shiver, and I'll make her body shake.
When we make love the feeling; Hits me like an earthquake.
The feelings that erupt from within take me to the edge.
To her I'll make this solemn pledge.
To her I'll worship every part of her.
I'll love her always and forever.

My Woman

A woman has caught my eye,
She's the one I want, and I can't deny.
She fills me with love; she fills me with desire,
She sets my heart and soul completely on fire.
She loves me no matter what without ever giving in,
She has promised to love me through thick and thin.
She's all I've ever wanted in a woman to love,
When I think of her I can sore like a dove.
When the day comes that I get on one knee,
I hope she'll accept when I say, "Marry Me".
I want her love I want her heart,
I want us together and never apart.
I want us to share everything we can,
That's why I want her to always be MY Woman.

Women

We learn all about them we can, It makes us better men.
We think we know it all, We find out something more;
But we forget that's not all they want
They want us to be the one who opens the door.
They want a man for the job, Someone who does his part,
They want a man to sweep them off their feet,
And take good care of their heart

Caught My Eye

Who caught my eye without even trying?
You did, and it made me so happy I felt like crying.
Who made me smile with just a little wink?
You did, and I can't even begin to think.
I lose my train of thought when it comes to you.
You make me so happy like noone could ever do.

Who caught my eye, but almost missed the chance?
You did, I'm so glad you took a glance.
You have made my year, and I hope many more to come.
I spend my life making sure you always feel welcome.
You are a miracle to me that not one person could beat.
You always catch me by surprise, and knock me off my feet.
You are a lovely woman Ann, and you make so very proud.
I would be honored and privileged to let anyone know.
By shouting out loud.
"This is the woman I love she is the one for me".
I thank god everyday will always do so completely.

Can't Think Straight

I constantly think about you everyday
Can't get you off my mind in anyway.
Every time I open my eyes there you are
Eyes shining bright just like the North Star.
You beauty is untouched just like a pretty rose
Everything is excellent right down to your nose.
Your body is sexy, and your hair is done up sweet
You're completely beautiful from your head to your feet.
I know you think I'm crazy, but I know I'm right
Every time I think of you, you're out of sight.
I know some people don't believe in fate
Thinking of you causes me not to think straight.
I love this feeling it's the best I've ever had

Taking that great step to handle the other's heart.

Beauty of a Woman

The "Beauty of a Woman" is not in the clothes she wears.
It's not the figure that she carries,
Nor is it the way she combs her hair.
The "Beauty of a Woman" must be seen in her eyes.
Because it is the doorway to her heart.
It's the place where love resides.
The "Beauty of a Woman" is not in a facial mole.
But her the true "Beauty of a Woman" is reflected in her soul.
It's the caring that she lovingly gives,
And the passion that she shows.
The "Beauty of a Woman",
With the passing years, only grows.

Birds in flight

Two birds brought together with love under wing.
Promising to each other to always try and sing.
Taking care for each other, never letting the other fall.
Keeping the nest complete with food, and shelter for all.
Taking daily flights together remembering where they started.
Laughing at each other's jokes, even when one of them f*rt*d.
Caring for one another through sickness, and weary days.
Showing every ounce of love in so many possible ways.
How can two birds stay in flight, through darkness and gray skies?
It's because they trust the other and can see the love in their eyes.
They follow one another till death do they part.
Always watching out for the other, and holding up their heart.

Champion Beauty

She is a champion who loves to ride.
She performs to standard and does it with pride.
She takes care of her horse, and treats her sweetly.
She braids her mane and tail so very neatly.
She washes her really well the day of the show.
When the judges see them the already know.
She is prepared she is ready nothing can compare.
To how she has been ready to see everybody stare.
To watch them with awe as the show of their style.
To see how long and hard they've trained,
And went that extra mile.
She is the best that's for sure on top of her game.
But no matter where she sits I'll love her just the same.
For I am feeling great just to know her, And be in her life.
I hope someday to watch her in the winner light.

Love Begins

You find someone who captures your eye.
A person that makes a good impression on your heart.
You talk to them and learn what their all about.
You find out if they can do their part.
You share conversation, you both share dreams.
You have lots in common so it seems.
You take it slow, and the partnership grows.
You follow your heart because it always knows.
It leads you together down the path God designed.
It shows you the things that you could never find.
You take each other's heart and hold it tight.
Knowing that the other will always treat you right.
When you reach that special moment in time.
Your hearts will beat in the same rhythm and rhyme.
As you begin to take each other high above.
That's when you truly know that you are in Love.

You are the one, who occupies my thoughts.
You are the one, who occupies my dreams.
You are the one, who keeps me happy, and content.
You are the one who makes me smile the most it seems.
I think of you and I smile so big it never ends.
There is noone that can make this smile ever bend.
I'm happier now than I have ever been, and it's all because of you.

That Special Day

I walk up to you, and look deep into your eyes.
I see within your soul, and feel the love inside.
I drop what I am carrying, and wrap you in my arms.
I gently kiss your lips, and hold you tight with pride.
I never want to let you go, for it's all that I have dreamed.
I want to hold you tight for eternity, and keep you safe with me.
I will always show you my love, and you'll never have to doubt.
What it is I feel for you, because I tell everyone with a shout.
This is the woman I love with all that I can be.
I never want to lose her, and I will keep her safe with me.
I will take care of her, and make sure to love her in every way.
I will show her that love completely and totally.
I will make sure she has her special day.

To be the person I am in every way.

She's the one for whom I would walk that extra mile

Sometimes I made weary choices,

To have faith is to act upon it

Korean War Veterans

In the early 1950’s when this war began
Men and Boys gave their all to take a stand
They fought hard through hot summers, and cold winters without fail
Giving their all, and sometimes even their lives for freedom to prevail

Many of the wars this nation has fought we don’t give enough honors too
To those of you who are veterans of Korea, we want to truly salute you
We show honor and praise to all veterans of every war on this day
But today we specifically would like to thank those who served in Korea so far away

How can we say thank you enough to all those men who died
We can salute them, and honor them with compassion and pride;
Knowing the sacrifice they gave, we stand proud and tall
We say “All Gave Some”, and “Some Gave All”!

We ask for God’s blessing on each and every one
Doing our best not to forget every father, and every son;
Thank you for your service to a nation strong and true
God bless you for your courage, and support of the Red, White, and Blue.

Cloud 9

I'm in love with a woman
Who challenges my mind.
When she does this
I know the thought can't be left behind.
She challenges my heart
To ensure it will play its part.
I always give what I get

Perfect Love

When two hearts meet,

It's something men and women search for all their life.

It makes their lives stronger.

We keep on looking after failing once or twice.
Sometimes we run into people who are cold as ice.

Happiness

Happiness is abundant when you need it to be,
It makes your face wrinkle in very strange ways.
You're with someone special and holding them close
The happiness kicks in and gives your heart a dose.
It jumps into gear and the smiles begin to shine,
When you begin to think about that person

your heart says, "I'm fine".
You follow that person through the halls of your brain
Thinking about them always never letting your thoughts wane.
They're always in your heart and always on your mind
You can't help but fall for them they are so hard to find.
They play hard to get, and act all shy
But you both really know they have that look in their eye.

Two Hearts Beat

Starts slow, regular rhythm

Sudden spark makes it beat faster.

Steady pace always beating

Never once felt like retreating.

Romance grows, pace quickens,

Hoping it never ceases.

Some wonder what it's like to Love to Extreme
It's that kind of love that for some is only a dream.
It's there then it's not,
It's cool but then it grows hot
You look in each other's eyes, and see into the soul
You think in your mind am I ready for this role?
You tell yourself yes I'm gonna give it my all
I'm gonna take this person's heart, and never stumble or fall.
We're gonna make this work for the two of us
Just the way we've always wanted without any fuss.
An unconditional love the greatest ever known
Never a waking moment that love is not to be shown.
Spending every hour till we're old and gray
Never once forgetting to tell the other, or forgetting to say
"I LOVE YOU", three little words that show
Those three little words, that'll always let your lover know.
He or she is in it for the long run
Never forsaking the love, never forsaking the fun
Putting all your effort forward, and giving your best
Never giving in on love, and always forsaking the rest.

Distance

Though we may be far apart, and seems to never change.
There are so many things we want, but distance is between us.
We will struggle to close the gap, and hold one another tight.
Laying in each other's arms and cuddle through the night.
Waking in the morning, and looking into each other's eyes.
Knowing the feelings we feel and making one another feel right.
When we finally reach that point, and nothing stands in our way.
We will stand before each other, and never forget to say.
That neither distance nor time kept us apart.
Now that we're together we can give each other our heart.

God's Triumph

He came into my life that was filled with sorrow and pain.
He took away the hurt, the anguish, and the strain.
He guided me to freedom from Satan's ugly grasp.
He showed me what true love for him was, and finally at last.
He walks beside me through good times and bad.
He is the savior of my life, the best thing I have ever had.
He watches over me day and night keeping me safe from harm.
He sends his angels to protect me and wraps me in his loving arm.
He's there whether I see him or not, and always he tells me.
What I'm doing right or wrong, anxiously waiting for me to see.
The true light, which he offers, but pushes towards no one.
He waits for us to use our free will,
And follow the right path till we're done.
I love and believe in you God for now until I die.
I wish to join you in heaven,
And walk amongst the clouds in the sky.
