Our preacher was one who told the truth as God needed it done
He always tried to stay with the Bible, even when having fun
He seldom failed to teach, but he always sought to give a prod
He always kept a little wit but remained serious when the time called for God
He was passionate about the Lord with all his heart, it showed in his preaching
He didn’t fail to give God glory through all of his teaching
He gave warning after warning to all about sin
He never wanted to see someone quit or fall because they gave in
He had a heart for the church and for those people placed in his charge
He never thought himself more than others or he made himself feel large
He was just a normal guy, a sinner saved by grace
He always knew where he came from, and knew God put him in this place
He would tell you how he came to be saved September 2, 1975
How God brought him to his knees and made him come alive
He would tell you how poor he was when he was young and how he didn’t have much of anything
He would make jokes and laugh, and he would also tell you how he couldn’t sing
He and his loving wife came to start a church here in this place
He worked to get it started, and it grew through God’s amazing grace
It moved a time or two till it arrived to where it is at this location now
For 26 years he strived to make it grow, and look at what it has become, WOW!
He gave everything he had to this work, even sometimes doing without
He would tell you he was blessed because God had him in his hand, no doubt
He was a beacon to this community, and many families here and there
He always gave what God had given him with tender loving care
He went home to be with the Lord, he will be sorely missed with love
We know he has a new body, and that he is communing with the Lord above
He worked to have a man to take on the work he had started
He knew it had to be a man who would not do things half hearted
Throughout his years we have seen the work, the blood, the sweat and tears
We have prayed with him, and laughed with him even during the a time of fears
We remember that with all his heart and love, that he preached the word with conviction
Attempting to always see souls saved from hell and hoped they would be lead to redemption
As we continue doing the work that he started, and we see this church and how it develops
We know it started with a call, and an answer by a man named Olton Phillips.

My Pastor's wife

Our Pastor’s Wife

Her husband answered the call and she stood by his side as God sent him out
She never wavered in her support, and she loved both God and her husband with no doubt
Never failing to be by his side, she endured through it all helping others as she went
God knows all about her sacrifices, and struggles always listening when she needed to vent
She was the one person in our Church who knows about the Pastor’s life.
She has lived and grown with Him, and that’s our Pastor’s wife
The church has seen him in his strength, and listened while he was bearing God’s sword
Always standing under God’s hands while he faced diligently the devil’s attacking horde.
Deep inside within her heart she knows that just one single hour before
She helped him pray for glory coming down behind a closed door
She heard him many times groaning in his soul when raging with strife
She knelt beside him hand in hand for she’s known as our Pastor’s Wife.
You can tell your tales of the Preachers bravery as he served here in this world
Also how he changed history and fought against the burning words they hurled
And I can tell how day and night, there was always a woman who devoted her life
Who wept with him, prayed with him, and smiled with him, that woman was our Pastor’s Wife

Love is

Love is all we hope for,
When we're feeling lonely.
Love is what we need in everyday life.
Two people working for one another,
That's what love is.
Two people fulfilling all life's dreams together,
That's what love is.
Two people sharing all life has to offer,
That's what love is.
Love is what you make it.
Work at it, and in it,
That's what love is.

The Greatest Thing

The touch of her hand, the feel of her skin
The taste of her kiss, that touches me within
The smell of her hair, as it flows through the air
The feel of her body next to mine,
Lying next to me without a care.
The look in her eyes as we snuggle together
Lying in the grass thinking about forever
Not knowing what's to come in life, as we know it
Always staying by each other side only to show it
Giving a hundred percent of everything I have inside
Holding her close to me, and always beaming with pride.
The one greatest thing life could ever give to me
Was the love of a great woman such as her,
And an eternity of love by her side.

The Teardrop

It gives off a signal everyone knows
It shows the way to the heart that glows.
It's there in happiness and in sadness as well
It puts out a beam of frowns and smiles that tell.
They tell a story of a love that's gone bad
They tell a story of someone whose life was made glad.
They always leave your cheeks turning red
They stain your pillowcases that are in your bed.
When it falls to the ground it makes no noise to be heard
Sometimes these teardrops come on without even a small word.
You try and fight them back because you don't want to cry
You want to be strong and show people that your gonna try
Crying these teardrops is a function of life
It helps to release the frustration, and sadness
It also helps release the happiness and gladness.

Soldier of God

Following God with all my soul
Doing that I know is right to show me as a whole
Making the right steps, trying not to falter
Seeing the decision I make before God's altar
Swearing my faith and trust in Him, and never letting go
Giving back to him all the love I have to show
Fighting for all that is right, and true from my life here
Putting down all the enemies, and anything evil in this atmosphere
Standing strong and true even in adversity

Never falling down to any kind of anxiety
Taking every step closer to His perfection
Never giving up on that which was a choice made by my selection
God is my savior always and forever strong, and free
He will always be there, and He will always love me.

Simple Man

Being a simple man is all I have to give anyone
Making my dream come true to show everyone
I have a lot of simple habits that make me who I am
They are not complex, they are not hard to understand
I follow very simple rules and have no expectations
I ask for the return of these things, and simple justification
I want the things in life to remain simple and true
I'll give what I got to give, but only to you
Being a simple man is all I got to give
Knowing nothing of life but to live
Showing my heart is all I will ever have in this world
Playing the game, and hoping that I receive it in return

The Ultimate Woman

I know a woman who tops them all;

She's there for me standing tall.
She loves me despite all my mistakes;

She gives me all the love that she makes.

For life I'll always hope and pray,

That I can make it up to her someday.
She is the ultimate woman I see,

No matter what; she's the woman for me.

I'll do all I can to make her proud,

I'll stand up and say she loves me out loud.
I know she'll do anything she can for me;

I'll always do my best to make her see.

The Love I have for her deep inside,

Someday I'll make this ultimate woman my bride.

Trust

Trust is something that people value.
Trust is what you give someone true.
Trust is what you hold close and dear.
Trust is what you give to someone near.
Trust is always what you have for someone close.
Trust is that which you hold onto the most.
Trust can be abused.

Trust can be used.
Trust should never be taken for granted,

of by someone who takes it.
Because once you've lost it, it's hard to ever earn again.

Sensual Woman

I know a woman who sends me for a ride.
Every time I'm with her, She fills me with pride.
I worship her body in every possible way.
I'll always show her my love every day.
I'll make her body shiver, and I'll make her body shake.
When we make love the feeling; Hits me like an earthquake.
The feelings that erupt from within take me to the edge.
To her I'll make this solemn pledge.
To her I'll worship every part of her.
I'll love her always and forever.
